💰 Funding & Investments
- Helical (France) — $10M Seed
French biotech Helical raised $10M in seed funding from redalpine, Gradient, BoxGroup, Frst and angels including Cohere CEO Aidan Gomez and Hugging Face CEO Clement Delangue, to build a virtual AI lab that converts biological foundation models into reproducible in-silico pharma discovery workflows.[1]
- Generare (France) — €20M Series A
Generare secured €20M Series A to scale its molecular discovery platform generating molecular data for drug discovery with pharmaceutical companies.[2]
- Rivia (Switzerland) — $15M Seed
Swiss clinical trial data infrastructure startup Rivia raised $15M Seed to consolidate fragmented trial data into a unified clinical trial intelligence platform.[3]
- EQT & Atomico — €5B EU Fund
EQT and Atomico are competing to manage a €5B EU fund for European scaleups, with a decision expected shortly according to sources familiar with the matter.[4]
⚖️ Regulatory & EHDS
- European Health Data Space — In Force
The European Health Data Space is now in force, requiring healthcare providers, data holders, MedTech and life sciences companies to prepare for new cross-border health data use requirements under TEHDAS2 implementation.[5]
- CorTec (Germany) — FDA Breakthrough Designation
German brain-computer interface company CorTec received FDA Breakthrough Designation for its cortical electrical stimulation system targeting motor recovery in chronic stroke patients — the first German BCI company to achieve this status.[6]

- OpenAI + Novo Nordisk (Denmark)
OpenAI partnered with Danish pharma giant Novo Nordisk to deploy advanced AI across its global operations spanning drug discovery, clinical development and commercial functions, while also upskilling its workforce in AI literacy.[7]
- NHS + Oracle AI Clinical Digital Assistant (UK)
NHS sites across the UK are preparing to deploy Oracle's AI Clinical Digital Assistant, an ambient documentation tool designed to reduce administrative burden on clinicians.[8]

- Corti (Denmark) — Symphony Medical Coding AI
Danish AI company Corti launched Symphony, a vertical medical coding model that outperforms OpenAI and Anthropic by more than 25% in independent clinical accuracy benchmarks, signaling strong Nordic capabilities in healthcare AI.[9]
